Chongqing- On May 30th, 2020, the long-awaited 250-meter high viewing gallery of Raffles City finally opened to the public. The eye-catching sky bridge named 'Crystal' spans 300 meters across four buildings of the Raffles complex and is partitioned into three main independent sections, of which the space-themed Exploration Deck and Viewing Gallery occupy 1500 square meters at the western end.
The experience starts with a ground floor based exhibition on the history of Chongqing and Three Gorges culture, beyond which a 'portal' lift smoothly whisks passengers up 47 floors in just over half a minute. At the top, the indoor section features the Exploration Deck with a number of space travel exhibits, while the outdoor section entices visitors to walk over a platform of transparent floor panels separating them from the ground 250 meters below!
After the initial flurry of visitors over the first weekend, James travels to Raffles City and experiences this latest fun addition to Chongqing!
The Raffles City 'Crystal' Skybridge is an eye-catching feature of the Chongqing skyline and new fun experience for visitors.
