On June 15, the e-commerce behemoth Alibaba and Chongqing Daily News Group held the inauguration ceremony of the southwest branch of Taobao University for e-commerce live streaming training in Chongqing and signed an agreement. Alibaba's Taobao University has officially settled down in Chongqing, the only branch for e-commerce live streaming training in southwest China.

As the core training platform of Alibaba Group, Taobao University, based on the growing needs of e-commerce entrepreneurs, after more than ten years of development, has integrated the advantage resources inside and outside Alibaba Group and in the industry and built a diversified, all-round and global e-commerce learning platform available both online and offline for nearly 10 million users in 133 countries, providing 24-hour learning opportunities for those engaged in e-commerce at different stages. Taobao University has so far trained 4.66 million Taobao sellers in total and cultivated super influencers, including Li Jiaqi and Viya, together with Taobao Live.

By now, "Chongbao Shangyou" has launched dozens of live streaming to market products. In the live-streaming campaign--the "Recovery Plan to Aid Hubei" participated by media across the country, "Chongbao Shangyou" ranked the 40th place among the 200-plus central and provincial media, and first in the west. "Chongbao Shangyou" has become one of the most influential live streaming media in China.

Livestreaming to promote goods is very popular in Chongqing. In the first quarter of this year, Chongqing held more than 20,000 live streaming, attracting a total of nearly 60 million viewers and marketing more than 41,000 items of products. More than 25 million products were sold, generating sales of RMB 1.16 billion.

After the establishment of the branch, relevant training will be carried out as planned.

Relevant people from Alibaba, Chongqing Daily News Group, Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Chongqing Municipal Poverty Relief Office, and district governments (including nine districts in the city's proper, Liangjiang New Area and Chongqing High-tech Industrial Development Zone) attended the ceremony.
