On June 17, Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Sichuan Museum held a signing ceremony for a strategic cooperation agreement on strengthening the protection and utilization of cultural relics in China Three Gorges Museum of Chongqing. The two museums will cooperate in seven aspects to make Bashu cultural relics vivid and help Sichuan and Chongqing to establish a state-level demonstration area for cultural relics protection and utilization, as well as the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle.

Strengthening cooperation in the protection of cultural relics: It is aimed to promote the co-construction and sharing of the resources of cultural relics protection laboratories and restoration laboratories of the two museums and explore the establishment of a linkage mechanism for the exchange of personnel engaged in the protection of cultural relics. The two museums will cooperate in the research and application of relevant technologies for the protection and restoration of such cultural relics as calligraphy and paintings, Han Dynasty portrait bricks, ceramics, etc., and jointly build a regional center for the protection and restoration of cultural relics in southwest China.

Strengthening cooperation in scientific research: It is intended to innovate the cooperation mechanism of cultural relics research between the two museums, combine the strength of superior talents, jointly carry out research in Sichuan-Chongqing Neolithic culture and other fields, to promote Bashu cultural relic resources investigation and demonstrate the transformation of utilization results.

Strengthening cooperation in exhibitions: It is planned to facilitate the two museums to introduce featured and original exhibitions to each other, jointly plan or hold exhibitions, co-promote the joint exhibition and tour exhibition of cultural relic resources of museums in Sichuan and Chongqing, and join hands to introduce domestic and international high-level exhibitions.

Strengthening cooperation in museology education: It is expected to strengthen the public cultural services of the two museums, boost the sharing of educational resources, and jointly apply for the National Educational Demonstration (Experimental) Base of Bashu Cultural Museum.

Strengthening cooperation in the design and marketing of cultural and creative products: It is anticipated to open cultural relic resources and marketing platforms to each other, and lead museums of Chongqing and Sichuan in establishing an extensive network of cultural and creative design, product incubation and marketing. Jointly creating a tourism brand of Bashu culture research.

Strengthening cooperation in publicity and promotion: It is projected to create a cooperative brand of "Two Cities and Two Museums" and expand the two museums' spreading power and influence.
