The wheat straw carving process originated from the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period and is a bright pearl in Chinese traditional culture and art dating back more than 100 years. This carving is of extremely high historical, artistic, and economic value.
Before 1949, Fengdu had a number of well-established shops specializing in spicy chicken. The spicy chicken was sold as a nomadic food. Merchants cooked chickens mixed with condiments in barrels and was also sold whole.
