On June 30, the roadshow for new energy and new materials under Sino-Swiss · 2020 Liangjiang New Area Online Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Sino-Swiss Techno Park (SSTP), Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. Nine projects from home and abroad completed their roadshow.

The event was sponsored by Liangjiang New Area Administrative Committee and undertaken by the Science and Technology Innovation Administration of Liangjiang New Area, aiming at exploring excellent entrepreneurship projects at home and abroad, stimulate the entrepreneurial and innovative vitality of returned overseas talent, encourage returned overseas creative talent and entrepreneurial projects to settle in Liangjiang New Area.

At the event, nine projects completed the roadshow. Through the combination of online and site communications, the project side exchanged ideas with the judges on aspects such as core technologies, business models, product promotion, and market trends, and listened to the judges' suggestions on the development of the project.

Wang Bokun, Deputy Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Administration of Liangjiang New Area, said that the competition is not only a display platform for high-quality projects but also an important platform for investment and financing and investment attraction. Liangjiang will give full play to its advantages in innovative platforms, innovative talent and innovative ecology, and strive to create the best business environment, provide the most efficient services, and the most powerful policy support, to attract more high-quality projects to settle in the area.

At present, Liangjiang is stepping up efforts to develop strategic emerging industries such as new energy and new materials. It has attracted China's first national hydrogen power quality inspection center, and the development of many new energy battery projects such as Snowman is being accelerated. In the field of new materials, centering around the two pillar industries--automobile and information electronics, it focuses on developing lightweight materials for vehicles, display materials, 3D printing, special glass, graphene, carbon fiber, new aluminum alloy, and other new materials.

So far, the four sub-competitions have come to an end, and next, the four quality projects that stood out in the preliminaries will enter the semi-finals to continue to compete with each other. At the same time, the Science and innovation Administration will also cooperate with the cooperation center and overseas stations of the National Overseas Talent Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base to organize the international, regional innovation and entrepreneurship roadshows in Europe, America, Oceania and Southeast Asia, to select quality overseas projects to participate in the quarter-finals and finals of the Online Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition scheduled to be held at the end of the year.

Next, Liangjiang will rely on the construction of the National Overseas Talent Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base, establish a new system of flexible talent recruitment in line with the world, strengthen the coordination with high-quality projects at home and abroad, and build an inland hub where high-end innovation and entrepreneurial talent returning from abroad cluster.
