One is a southwest city named after the mount, and the other is a municipality called the Mountain City. Both cities that have a close relationship with mountains have their own merits as well as common features and traits.
Although Chongqing is a mountainous city, it has a fast pace of life for it is adjacent to the Yangtze River, and water transportation enables it to have a lot of contact with the outside world. Emei City is located in a basin, and had little contact with the outside world in the early days, thus forming a slow life culture.
Sichuan and Chongqing are like two brothers in a family, and the convenient transportation has shortened the distance between the two cities. It is believed that more people from Chongqing will visit Mount Emei with the opening of the high-speed train.
