Wulong Furong River Scenic Area to Reopen on July 29

Wulong Furong River Scenic Area, with four years of upgrading and scenery comparable to the Three Gorges, will reopen on July 29.

Furong River Scenic Area is a large U-shaped canyon with karst landform of a small scale yet a large capacity and primitive water forest. The State Council approved the scenic area as one of the fourth batches of national scenic spots and historical sites on May 17, 2002. Furong River is rich in tourism resources and unique in natural scenery. Furong Cave Scenic Area is one of those flanking the Furong River. The scenic spots by the Pangu River include the Miao Village, Ancient Wood, and Bamboo Sea, and Monkey Park. Xuanba Scenic Area consists of the Butterfly Valley, Longkong Waterfall, and Stalagmites. Zhuzi Brook Scenic Area boasts Agate Spring and Zhuzi Brook. It is an excellent place to relax and vacation.

Traffic route:

Self-driving: Chongqing – Chongqing-Hunan Expressway – Nanchuan – Wulong. The journey is 180 kilometers long, and it takes about 2 hours to drive. The vehicle can go off the Wulong Expressway toward Jiangkou and will reach the Furong Cave Tourist Reception Center in about 30 minutes.

Train: Chongqing Bei (North) Railway Station - Wulong Railway Station – Furong Cave Tourist Reception Center

Bus: Chongqing Sigongli Station - Wulong Bus Station – Furong Cave Tourist Reception Center
