On July 23, the 2020 Smart China Expo Cup: A Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on Big Data and Smart Technology was officially launched in Yuzhong District, Chongqing. As an important part of the online 2020 Smart China Expo (SCE), this competition is hosted by the organizing committee of the expo.

From today until August 14, the competition will be held in Chongqing, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu. Focusing on the industrial fields including intelligent connected vehicles (ICVs), intelligent manufacturing, IntelliSense, Internet of Things, smart robots, smart terminals, integrated circuits, cloud computing big data (supercomputers), and human-computer interaction, it will collect outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship projects from young entrepreneurs across the country.

On August 15-16, online preliminaries will be launched, and the top 10 projects selected in each city will be qualified for the semi-finals. On August 17-25, 10 excellent projects will be selected for the final in the online roadshow competitions. In mid-September, the final will be held by combining on-site roadshow and network broadcast.

The competition set up an expert team by inviting experts from universities, research institutes, and industry leaders to conduct exchanges with contestants online, providing learning resources and professional guidance for them in dimensions such as market prospects, project operation status quo, social benefits, and future value. At the same time, the competition also cooperated with more than 10

top investment institutions based in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou to provide investment and financing matchmaking services for good projects.

The organizer will also recommend the best projects to participate in the Chongqing Professional Talents Plan, first recommend them to settle in local entrepreneurship bases such as the maker space, and organize excellent project teams to carry out matchmaking activities to push for the project to settle in Chongqing.
