So far, two of them are already under construction, namely Nanshan Trail and Shaci Trail. The other five, i.e., Chonggang Trail, Panxihe Trail, Hong’en Trail, Jiangbeicheng Trail, and Southwest Region Trail, are pushing forward the preliminary work, striving to start construction in the second half of the year.

Bidding for construction of Yubei Section has launched

Panxihe Trail is located in Jiangbei District and Yubei District. The trail has been incorporated into the environmental project–“Clean Waters, Green Banks” along the Panxi River. It mainly focuses on functions such as leisure, fitness, life, and recreation, aiming to become a pleasant riverside trail for the public. As yet, the first phase of the Jiangbei Section of the promenade, about 4.6 kilometers long, has been completed. Also, bidding for the construction of the Yubei Section has started, and construction is scheduled to start in October 2020.

While speeding up the construction of key characteristic trails, Chongqing will renovate and upgrade a number of existing trails, striving to build them into roads that facilitate green and convenient travel, enable recreation and leisure, feature nostalgia, and local culture, and boast beautiful urban landscape.
