On August 6, the People's Government of Yuzhong District held the Government-Enterprise Exchange and Project Signing Ceremony on Chongqing Jiefangbei · National Demonstration Pedestrian Street, at which 17 enterprises and brands signed cooperation agreements with the district. As one of the first batch of national demonstration pedestrian streets, Jiefangbei will endeavor to advance ten projects.

Jiefangbei plans to build a pedestrian avenue to connect itself with Chaotianmen, with a total length of 1.7 kilometers or so. It aims to promote the interconnection, industrial co-prosperity, joint creation of charm, and integrated development with Chaotianmen through optimizing landscape nodes, renovating building facades, adding green landscapes, perfecting the signage system, and improving the traffic organization.
Jiefangbei is slated to speed up the upgrading and reconstruction of Wuyi Road and other roads, design night lighting for featured buildings such as Xinhua International Building and other five super high-rise buildings as well as Luohan Temple, and carry out roof beautification and renovation in batches of more than 30 buildings within the visual range of Chongqing World Financial Center. In addition, Jiefangbei is going to beautify and brighten lintels and windows in core areas and create commercial spaces that are prosperous, fashionable, distinctive, customer-friendly, and comfortable.
Jiefangbei will formulate and introduce special plans and policies to support the development of the core area of the city as an international consumption center, strive to develop internationally renowned brands' first stores, flagship stores, whole-series stores and stores with the annual sales of 100 million yuan, and actively introduce high-end cuisine, quality private restaurants, infinity swimming pools and other special types of business. Moreover, Jiefangbei will introduce and develop a number of extremely distinctive stores, boutiques, and quality life stores, as well as setting up a number of themed IP stores and immersive consumer experience stores, to promote the integration of business, culture, and art, and create diversified consumption scenarios.
Jiefangbei is going to consolidate and improve the strengths of the financial and professional service sectors, vigorously develop inclusive finance, service trade, professional services, and other service consumption, and create a new leading area featuring integrated development of commercial pedestrian streets and central business districts.
Jiefangbei will accelerate the transformation and upgrading of areas with traditional features such as Daijia Alley and Luzu Temple, as well as old blocks, and comprehensively promote the construction of a central arts district. It also plans to develop and introduce several well-known cultural tourism enterprises and an extensive repertoire by relying on the clustered municipal literature and art troupes.
Being covered by a pilot free trade zone, a China-Singapore cooperation zone, and a central business district, Jiefangbei will improve the service functions of foreign-related hotels and expand the scale of outbound tax-refund stores. It is slated to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with high-level international pedestrian streets, actively participate in foreign business exchange activities such as China International Import Expo, and promote the establishment of more consular offices and renowned enterprises here.
Jiefangbei is going to speed up new carrier construction and investment attraction, and promote the comprehensive renovation of old buildings, including the reconstruction of facilities, the improvement of the surrounding environment, the adjustment and upgrading of business types, and the modernization of property management. Besides, it will customize the policy for every building in a bid to revitalize vacant buildings and comprehensively enhance the occupancy rate and production rate of building carriers.
With no-fakes as the essential requirement, Jiefangbei plans to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and the rights and interests of consumers to offer pleasant and reassuring consumer experience. It will also deepen the five-chief system for urban management, focus on managing the appearance and order of critical areas such as Shizijin Street, and spare no effort to maintain the image of the "living room window" of the city.
Jiefangbei is going to expedite the construction of the city's first 5G smart exhibition hall on a pedestrian street and strengthen the distribution of facilities of the Internet of Things such as smart, good lids, smart lamp-posts, smart trash cans, and smart parking management, thus facilitating online, mobile management with intelligent technologies.
By virtue of Shizijin Street, an ideal show field, Jiefangbei is slated to stage quality events such as well-known and new product releases, film and TV premiere, and signing sessions. By doing so, it aims to make itself better known with a better reputation and to be Chongqing's business card for all time.
