The main purpose is to build the OPPO (Chongqing) Smart Ecological Science and Technology Park, with an annual output value exceeding 30 billion yuan and annual tax revenue of about 600 million yuan upon reaching full capacity.

Construction of the first phase of the project started in November 2017, and production commenced on November 8, 2019.

So far, 38 production lines have been installed on-site, including 15 SMT lines and 23 assembly lines. There are roughly 4000 project management personnel and general workers in employment, and daily shipments are 80,000 units.

In 2019, the output value was 15.2 billion yuan, with a tax revenue of 600 million yuan. The total industrial output value was 7.281 billion yuan from January to July 2020.

The potential in scientific research and innovation is tremendous in scope. The number of OPPO invention patents granted in 2019 reached 2614, ranking third in China, and second in the pure mobile phone manufacturing industry.

Global patent applications have exceeded 38,000, with over 12,000 authorized. Among these, there were 3578 patents granted for utility models, 795 for design, and 3036 international PCT applications published.
