Cultural Products of Jiangbei District

The skills of Jiangbei Shu embroidery can be traced back to more than 500 years. The stitches are neat, the colors are soft, and local characteristics are distinctive. The images are mainly of flowers and birds, animals, landscapes, insects, fish, and Chinese characters. The works include clothes, shoes, cushions, tablecloths, headscarves, handkerchiefs, and painted screens.

Ancient knots originated from the ancient practice of knotting memorandums, which gradually evolved into decorative artwork. The knots are typically made of cotton, hemp, or silk, with concentric knots, peach knots, lucky knots, and other styles. They are often used for cheongsam buckles, earrings, pendants, and bracelets.
