Chongqing Showcase in Jiangbei District: Three Sections for a Journey to Future

At 20:00 of August 20, the special live streaming of Jiangbei District for the large-scale cultural tourism promotion activity “2020 Chongqing Showcase” began on time. At the same time, you can also find other Chongqing featured products at the Online Culture and Tourism House.

The theme was to “Embrace the Future in Jiangbei.” Guests included Dai Xiaohong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jiangbei District Committee and District Mayor, and heads of Xiaomi Finance, A-ONE Project, Chang’an Automobile, Haier Smart Home, Haier Internet of Clothing, Peon Art Museum Chongqing, Chongqing Jiujie Cultural Industry Group, etc. They, centering on Fashion Consumption, Smart Intelligence, and Landscapes and Cultures, led the audience on a journey to the “future,” to enjoy the charming Jiangbei District.

Jiangbeizui is to Chongqing what Lujiazui is to Shanghai. The sentence popular in Chongqing reveals the financial importance of Jiangbei District.

Cao Ziwei, Vice President of Strategy of Xiaomi Finance, explained the significance of consumer finance. He said Xiaomi Consumer Finance would combine internet and new retail as well as online and offline channels and scenarios while bringing such technological advantages as cloud computing, big data, and smart Internet of Things (IoT) into full play. By developing its abilities in diverse consumption scenarios, the company provides more convenient and professional modern consumption financial services with better quality.

In April 2020, the groundbreaking ceremony of Jiangbeizui International Financial Center A-ONE Project, a municipal-level major construction project, was held in Jiangbeizui Financial Core Zone. It employed over 10 top-notch designers worldwide, who will work with the two design R&D teams of Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest tower, and Shanghai Tower, the tallest one in China. Its main tower is 470 meters high with 103 floors. Once completed, A-ONE will become the record-breaking supertall skyscraper in Chongqing.

“It resembles the English letter A viewed from the front and will become the tallest building in Chongqing; thus, it was named A-ONE. The A-like structure not only stands for the place where the Yangtze River and Jialing River meet but also shows the enterprising, transcendent, and upward spirits of Chongqing.”

Chen Yong introduced, A-ONE was slated to grow into a shopping center, housing the first K11 Art Mall in Southwest China and Rosewood Hotel, one of the world’s top three super five-star hotels. Meanwhile, there will be six hanging gardens for top-level social intercourse, which are superior in Chongqing, even in China.

Intelligence

Meng Bao, General Manager of Haier Smart Home, introduced the Casarte IoT dual-screen refrigerator to the audience.

In this section, Haier brought several products of black technologies. One of them was Casarte IoT dual-screen refrigerator.

“Traditional refrigerators are to keep food fresh, but this one tries to help people stay fit.” According to Meng Bao, General Manager of Haier Smart Home (Chongqing Branch), IoT dual-screen refrigerators can set up a health database for each family member. Based on the data and the steps recorded in the mobile phone, they will figure out the proper daily caloric intake and a weekly meal plan, of which every dish has detailed cooking instructions.

More than this, IoT dual-screen refrigerators allow demand-based customized services. For example, once receiving the information input, they can offer voice reminders of expiration dates and medicine-taking.

Sun Chuanbin, General Manager of Haier Internet of Clothing Industrial Ecosystem, introduced a black technology in the clothing industry — Internet of Clothing. It is based on such IoT technologies as RFID and offers professional solutions for smart factories, stores, and homes, as well as scenario solutions covering the full life-cycle of washing, fabric caring, storing, matching, purchasing, and recycling. With this, users can enjoy a “smart fabric butler service in the beautiful life.”

Ye Pei, Vice President of Chang’an Automobile, “drove” the UNI-T to the studio. It’s known that Chang’an Automobile has captured 200 odd smart technologies in three fields, and realized mass production and debut of over 70 of them, including Integrated Adapted Cruise Control (IACC), Automatic Parking Assist (APA) 5.0, and in-car WeChat. These significantly improve user experience.

Cultures

Jiangbei District has been vigorously promoting the supply-side innovation in culture-tourism integration and stimulating the transformation from cultural and creative blocks to scenic areas. Peon Art Museum in Jiangbei District opened on June 19, 2020. Xu Ji, the curator of the museum and grandson of Xu Beihong, visited the studio to tell stories of the famous painter in Chongqing.

Peon Art Museum is situated in Shi’s Garden in Panxi of Jiangbei District, where Xu lived for over four years since 1942 and formed a deep affection for the city.

“He created 3,000 paintings during his lifetime, of which over 1,000 were completed within this period, including Ba People Draw Water. Chongqing was where his love belonged.” Xu Ji said the period in Chongqing was Xu Beihong’s golden age when he finished a flock of horse-themed paintings, such as Galloping Horse and Six Galloping Horses.

“Based on my grandfather’s paintings, we found many vital historical documents. Meanwhile, the cultural development ideas of Jiangbei District enable the museum to play a better role in promotion and education,” said Xu Ji.

The 9th street now shapes and promotes the night-time culture of Chongqing.

Ran Wei, President of Chongqing 9th Street Cultural Industry Group, agreed with his opinion. “Night economy of Jiangbei District will be incomplete if we miss the Jiangbei 9th Street.” According to Ran Wei, Jiangbei 9th Street, located in Guanyinqiao Sub-district of Jiangbei District, is 1,000 meters long from west to east and about 700 meters wide from north to south, covering an area of about 0.7 km2. It has 969 famous brands and stores from home and abroad and attracts 100,000 visitors daily. The street now shapes and promotes the night-time culture via enriching scenarios and contents.
