In the first half year of 2020, Yubei erected 2,615 5G base stations, covering Party and government offices, Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Jingang International Business District, Chongqing International Expo Center, Chongqing Xiantao International Big Data Valley and other areas such as major transportation hubs, business centers, some colleges and universities, and level-A secondary hospital. The district is accelerating the construction of an intelligent pivot of the smart city, and its trial demonstration of a 5G public service platform for autonomous driving is progressing smoothly. Yubei issued the Implementation Opinions on Promoting the Construction and Development of 5G Communication Network to coordinate works among China Tower Corporation Limited and China's three largest telecom operators. It has completed the first phase of 5G network construction through establishing a joint conference system for 5G network construction and development, an information reporting system, and an online & offline synchronous science popularization mechanism, as well as accelerating the construction of 5G network infrastructure in the whole district.

In the first half-year, the number of Yubei's digital service enterprises above designated size reached 148, with the aggregate revenue from the digital economy business of 12,882 million yuan. The number of digital manufacturing enterprises above designated size totaled 56, with the revenue reaching 50,825 million yuan. A total of seven digital business enterprises above designated size generated a revenue of 251 million yuan. Besides, the income from the digital economy business created by enterprises below the designated size was 570 million yuan.

To seize new opportunities in going global and bringing in

On the afternoon of June 23, Yubei staged the signing activity of major investment projects in the second quarter of 2020 at Chongqing Xiantao International Big Data Valley. Thirty-five major investment attraction projects, including the headquarters of UniCloud Building, were signed at the activity, with a total investment of 33.11 billion yuan. These enterprises are involved in the digital economy, intelligent manufacturing, and other fields.
