At the press conference for high-quality development of the Yuelai International Exhibition City held on August 26, Liangjiang New Area issued the Opinions on Further Promoting the High-quality Development of Yuelai International Exhibition City and the Measures on Further Promoting the Development of the Exhibition Industry in Chongqing Liangjiang New Area.

According to the Opinions, by the year 2023, Yuelai International Exhibition City will emerge as a highland of high-quality development of the national exhibition industry, generating the revenue of 385 billion yuan, and its exhibition industry will attract more than 25 million visits. By 2025, the Yuelai area will become a national representative exhibition platform with international influence and an important feature exhibition area for Chongqing’s opening-up.

Besides, Yuelai should highlight ecological characteristics, improve urban functions and quality, and strive to create an international exhibition city model that blends landscapes, vitality, fashion, and livability.

The Measures have listed different levels of incentives for sponsors, enterprises, and organizations that have staged exhibitions, performances, events, and activities in the area according to the activity scale, quantity, degree of internationalization, talent introduction, industry aggregation, and capital guarantee.

With an explicit request for encouragement to large-scale exhibitions, the Measures formulated long-term supporting and encouraging policies. Corresponding support will be given to conference projects with a contract of three years or longer and with over 1,000 participants as well as projects launched by members of the Alliance of Yuelai Conference Hotels.

Wang Jumeng, President of Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group Co., Ltd., said that the construction and operation of Yuelai would follow the Opinions and the Measures to expand and strengthen the five major industries of the exhibition, cultural tourism, ecological environment protection, intelligence, and high-quality urban management, to achieve high-quality development.
