Singapore Chamber of Commerce: Chongqing Is A Focus in SW China

Chongqing- Established in 1906, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry is the Chinese business community's apex body in Singapore. Before the Smart China Expo Online scheduled from September 15 to 17, iChongqing and Chongqing Daily, and Chongqing Television, interview Mr. Roland Ng San Tiong, SCCCI President. The SCCCI chose Chongqing to establish its second representative office in the world. "The big intergovernmental project of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity takes Chongqing as a focus and entire western China. So we think Chongqing is a very important place," says the president.

The New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor is an important landmark project under the framework of the CCI project. When it comes to its significance, he says, "If the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor can be established as soon as possible, it will be good for both countries."

The CCI project has produced fruitful results in four main cooperation areas of financial services, aviation, transport & logistics, and information communications technology. Singapore has become this year’s cohost from last year’s guest-of-honor country. The Smart China Expo Online sets the main venue in Chongqing Lijia Intelligent Park, and the sub-venue in Singapore.
