On September 5, the preliminary training for the i-VISTA Grand Challenge 2020, which is part of the Smart China Expo Online 2020, was conducted at the park of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co. Ltd. (CAERI). A total of 22 participants of the AEB Project and the APS Project will participate in the ADAS Challenge at Baiyun Lake Park, Lijia Town, on September 13.

The preliminary training for the i-VISTA Grand Challenge was conducted at the park of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute.

"I have been driving for 12 years. I can drive safely and smoothly, and I'm in particular proficient in parking," said 39-year-old female driver Liu Yuling with great confidence. When the recruitment campaign was launched, she knew the challenge from the media. Her car is Honda Odyssey 7 Seater and was registered in 2016, which meets the participation requirements. So she signed up at once. When asked about the preliminary training on the day, Liu said it is very useful, especially for first-timers like her, who have known the rules better after it.

As a "veteran" who has participated in the challenge for the second time, Pan Feng from Yubei District has signed up for both the AEB and APS projects. Mentioning i-VISTA Grand Challenge as an established event, Pan spoke highly of its ever richer experience and growing appeal to car enthusiasts.

The top three of the AEB and APS projects will be rewarded with self-owned brand cars of different models, and other participants will also be presented with corresponding prizes.

During the preliminary training on the day, related heads from the Organizing Committee introduced participating car types, skill requirements, vehicle management, competition management, competition rules, score rules, and other aspects. They answered the questions participants want to know most. After an introduction to the event, rule training, and compliance check, field training was also conducted for the ADAS Challenge.
