Chongqing- At the 2020 Smart China Expo Online, ST Engineering will join the Singapore Pavilion as a participating enterprise with two features called the Public Travel Security Cloud Platform and Xiantao Big Data Valley-Multifunctional Smart Lamp Post & Autonomous Driving Demonstration Project.

ST Engineering Co.Ltd officially started up during the Smart China Expo in August 2018. The company was unveiled at a ceremony attended by the Singapore honorary senior minister of state Goh Chok Tong and the Liangjiang New Area government.

Chongqing ST Engineering is a subsidiary of Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (STEG), a global technology, defense, and engineering company listed in Singapore. It now has over 50 years of experience serving customers in the defense, government, and commercial sectors from more than 100 countries.

Their business in China mainly covers rail and road transportation, public safety, emergency dispatch, and smart city technology.

In Xiantao Big Data Valley - They have completed the first construction phase of the Multi-Functional Smart Lamp Post & Autonomous Driving Demonstration Project.

Additionally, autonomous mini buses are being shipped from Singapore to infuse the industrial park with new vigor, paving the way for the coming autonomous driving industry and facilitating the industry park's upgrade.

The advantages of Chongqing are partly geographical due to its being the only municipality in the central and western regions of China. The city is also a vital connection point for the One Belt, One Road, and Yangtze River Economic Belt. It is developing rapidly as part of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin City Economic Circle.
