Chongqing- The Blockchain Summit under the Smart China Expo Online 2020 (SCE OL 2020) was held Chongqing Municipality in southwestern China on September 16.  Zhang Xuan, Director of the Standing Committee of Chongqing Municipal People's Congress, attended and delivered a speech. Chen Chun, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and Qiu Chengtong, a foreign academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, gave video speeches. Relevant leaders from the People's Government of Chongqing, the CPC Yuzhong District Committee, and the People's Government of Yuzhong District and famous scholars, experts, and entrepreneurs from home and abroad attended. In total, the summit has attracted an audience of over 300.

Hosted by the Organizing Committee of Smart China Expo (SCE) and co-organized by Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration, Chongqing Economic and Information Technology Commission, and the People's Government of Yuzhong District, the Blockchain Summit 2020 is an extensive and comprehensive blockchain industry event with national influence. Its theme is "Network New Industries, Shape New Ecosystems." It aims to create an important development, exchange, and cooperation platform for China's blockchain industry and empower the real economy through the innovative application of blockchain technology.

The summit includes four parts: Speeches by Leaders, Keynote Speeches, Achievements Release, and Summit Dialogues. During the summit, expert, scholar, and entrepreneur representatives delivered keynote speeches on the innovation of blockchain technologies and in-depth integrated development of digital economy, and conducted summit dialogues around "how to accelerate the innovative application of blockchain"; leaders from the municipal government unveiled the plaque for Chongqing Municipal Blockchain Digital Economy Industrial Park; Chongqing Blockchain Innovation Alliance released a development report; China Telecom introduced its Blockchain and Digital Economy Joint Laboratory; BSN Alliance published a report on the developments of the new-type blockchain infrastructure of BSN in Chongqing; the People's Government of Yuzhong District introduced the development of its blockchain industry and signed agreements with leading enterprises such as Zuoyebang, Zhenzhun Information, and Hyperchain.

Over recent years, Yuzhong District has taken the lead in developing the blockchain industry. For this to happen, it has built Chongqing Municipal Blockchain Digital Economy Industrial Park with an available area of over 200,000 square kilometers. This park has attracted over 60 leading enterprises such as Inspur, IBM, Venustech, Huaxia Yunrong, and CMM Network and cultivated over ten famous local enterprises, including Bangbang Lian Intelligent Technology and Jinvovo Technology. Besides, Yuzhong District has set up a supporting system integrating industries, universities, and research institutes under a provincial blockchain innovation alliance, which is the first of its kind in China, a blockchain test certification center, a blockchain talent training center, and more. With these strengths, the annual output value of Yuzhong District's blockchain industry is expected to reach 10 billion yuan. According to the 2019 China Blockchain Industrial Park Development Report released by CCID under MIIT, Chongqing Municipal Blockchain Digital Economy Industrial Park ranked fifth nationwide, making it into the first echelon.

Now in its third year since 2018, the SCE Blockchain Summit has grown into an influential industry brand with national influence. Therefore, this year's successful summit will help accelerate innovative application and ecosystem construction of the blockchain industry in the western regions and even the whole China, advance deeper integration between the blockchain industry and the real economy, and develop Yuzhong District into a national blockchain application base and innovation leader.
