Intelligent solutions better travel experience in Chongqing

Chongqing's tourism development has been gradually booming in recent years-- In 2019, visitors to Chongqing reached 650 million person-times. How to further enhance the tourist experience? Chongqing thought of Singapore's technology.

On August 22, 2018, the day before the first Smart China Expo (SCE), Chongqing Tourism Investment Group and Singapore Fooyo Technology Company (Fooyo) released the "Love Chongqing" app., an intelligent tourism solution tailored for Chongqing.

According to China-Singapore Smart Tourism that at present, its WeChat Mini Program is active in many scenic spots in Chongqing as an intelligent scenic spot assistant that can treat many "pain spots" of tourists in Chongqing.

"Our WeChat Mini Program is very popular with users for its lightweight and easy operation." According to the relevant responsible person of China- Singapore Smart Tourism, the Mini Program has covered most of Chongqing's 5A scenic areas. In addition, China-Singapore Smart Tourism cooperated with Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development to develop a public service platform called "Huiyou Chongqing" to promote the integration of culture, business, and travel.

Fooyo focuses on smart tourism solutions, and that Singapore's largest integrated tourist resort-- Sentosa was its client until they came to Chongqing.

Based on the experience of serving Sentosa, Fooyo pays much attention to personal experience. Through an app, tourists can view the real scenes of Chongqing's representative scenic spots such as Hongya Cave. Besides, navigation, ticket booking, catering, personalized route customization, and other functions can all be completed in the app. In addition, Fooyo has developed a real-time data monitoring platform for the Hongya Cave, which can monitor the flow of people on the spot in real-time and present the thermodynamic diagram of the scenic area, which not only keeps tourists from queuing but also makes the management better informed.

In May 2019, China-Singapore Smart Tourism, jointly established by Chongqing Tourism Investment Group and Fooyo, was officially founded and became the only cooperative tourism project of the Sino-Singapore connectivity project. After that, China-Singapore Smart Tourism successively reached cooperation with Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, Hongya Cave, Chongqing Hongyan Alliance Culture Developing Administration Center, Chongqing Tourism Investment Group, and so on.

According to the relevant responsible person of China-Singapore Smart Tourism, they will continue to pay attention to tourists' feelings and make the tourism experience better.

6,000 Rongchang pigs put on smart ear tags

Rongchang Pig is famous all over the country, but before CCI, no one associated Rongchang Pig with Singapore's intelligent information technology.

"Relying on intelligent information technology, we can better carry out dynamic monitoring in each breeding stage of pigs." As Jiang Qing, a researcher at Rongchang District Husbandry Development Center introduced on September 7, the smart ear tags developed by the Singaporean company SmartAHC look like bottle caps and are able to identify and archive each pig as if each pig is given an "identity card".

Things started in October 2017. At that time, the Singapore enterprise SmartAHC entered the Chongqing market through CCI and signed a tripartite cooperation agreement with Rongchang District Husbandry and Veterinary Bureau and PICC P&C Rongchang Branch Company to carry out the pilot application of smart ear tags in livestock farms of Rongchang District.

Jiang Qing said that at that time, it was difficult to monitor the number and future supply of live pigs in the breeding stage, except for the slaughter process. But now smart ear tags can more effectively collect the relevant data and send it to the server in real-time, thereby improving the remote monitoring capability.

In addition, this technology can also eliminate the risk of insurance fraud for insurance companies. Lan Song, a founder of SmartAHC, said that some farms only insure part of their live pigs, making it hard for insurance companies to identify which pigs are insured. In this way, some breeders may take advantage of this flaw to make claims for uninsured dead pigs. However, with the identification technology and individual insuring, the ear tag will automatically turn invalid if the breeder removes the ear tag and puts it on another pig.

In this project, a total of 6,000 Rongchang pigs have been put on smart ear tags. This development idea integrating smart technology, information, and precise management provided valuable experience for Rongchang to build a national live pig big data center at that time.

Jiang Qing said that the first cooperation project between the two sides has been successfully concluded, and discussions are carried out on the optimization and improvement of technical details.

Co-building a big data service platform for Chinese and Singaporean enterprises

"The ultimate goal of CCI is to build a value network, not a single value point." Xu Zhenyi, President of Singapore Longus Research Institute, said that the value network will benefit more companies.

On September 1, the Chongqing SocialCredits Technology Co., Ltd. ("SocialCredits") released that in cooperation with Singapore DC Frontiers, it has established the first domestic China-Singapore cross-border big data service platform for enterprises. The platform has pooled the information of 75 million Chinese companies and 400,000 Singaporean companies. It has achieved precise image promotion of companies and precise investment attraction of projects, providing service support based on big data analysis for the cooperation between companies and governments of the two countries.

With cutting-edge big data intelligence technologies, SocialCredits hammers at building a small and microcredit service platform linking SMEs and financial institutions. DC Frontiers is an emerging fintech start-up in Singapore. This precise cooperation between the two companies should be credited to the CCI.

In 2017, through CCI, SocialCredits partook in building a big data service platform for Chinese and Singaporean enterprises. In April 2018, after the completion of the first phase of the project, the platform was officially launched.

Chen Wei, a co-founder of SocialCredits, introduced that the platform gathers some companies in the two countries and enables accurate inquiry of enterprise information. The platform also pools more than a dozen types of enterprise data covering industry and commerce, administration of justice, tax, public opinion, and administrative punishment. Through the analysis of these data, it can predict the current and upcoming risks of the company, realize the interconnection of company information, and enhance the openness of bilateral trade.

In addition, the platform also functions in information integration, project release, and policy accumulation. It has received strong support from the Chongqing Administration Bureau of CCI and Ministry of Industry and Trade, Singapore, has gathered relevant policy resources from ASEAN countries such as Malaysia, Brunei, and Thailand.

The relevant pilot projects are currently carried out in vertical application scenarios such as finance and legal affairs. Apart from that, SocialCredits and DBS, Singapore's largest commercial bank, have conducted preliminary in-depth discussions on the application of cross-border data in the fields of credit and credit investigation.

All the above are just an example of the cooperation driven by CCI. According to the Administration Bureau of CCI, as of the end of July 2020, under the framework of CCI, China and Singapore have signed a total of 68 platform cooperation agreements and 228 cooperation projects, with a total value of about USD 32 billion, and a fulfillment rate exceeding 90%. It is expected that more Singapore technologies will land, blossom, and bear fruit in Chongqing in the coming days.
