On September 29, the activity under the theme of Mountain City Ordinary Life Season was staged in the traditional characteristic style region of Shancheng Alley. This June, minor alterations were made to 10 buildings, landscapes, and spaces in the traditional characteristic style region. As preliminary repairs have been completed, they will be officially opened to the public on National Day. Tourists could visit 11 popular cyberpunk-themed attractions and 31 stores featuring cultural elements, participate in the Yard Banquet, special exhibitions for different eras, and other activities during the activity.

Situated in Yuzhong District, Chongqing's mother town, Shancheng Alley, was erected during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. As a French missionary lit the first light there in 1900, it's also known as Tiandeng Alley or Tiandeng Street. In 1972, it was officially renamed Shancheng Alley. This traditional characteristic style region gathers quite a few historical buildings, including the Houlu Residence that has witnessed the history of the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the traditional southern-style residential courtyard Tixintang Community, Jinma Primary School next to a temple, cliffside mountain city walking trails, etc.

During the activity, tourists could visit  31 stores featuring cultural elements.

To prepare for the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, the sponsor of the activity has built 11 popular cyberpunk featured attractions such as Sweet Shining Spot, Lane with Colorful Lights, Misted Painting Lane, Lynx Stone in Memory, CQYZ, and Magic Punk Ladder, as well as 31 stores featuring cultural elements, including Characteristic Park · Houlu Residence, Tofu Jelly of Ling'er, Tangyuan in a Nameless Alley, Hot Pot beside Walking Trails, Backpack of Memories, etc. Cyberpunk visual elements and modern light interaction devices have been added to the landscapes; the types of business cover delicacies, cultural creativity, leisure, and entertainment, etc., further enriching the contents of Shancheng Alley.

During the Mountain City Ordinary Life Season activity, special exhibitions for different eras were also staged, presenting the old photos of Shancheng Alley in a creative interactive form and telling the alley's past and present stories.
