Chongqing-On Oct 15, the 2020 Chongqing International Culture and Tourism Industry Expo commenced at Chongqing International Expo Center, and nearly a thousand exhibitors participate in the Expo. The offline expo is scheduled from Oct 15 to 18.
After a short opening ceremony, 10 theme exhibitions were unveiled, which include“Chongqing Showcase” exhibition ，the cultural tourism interactive exhibition，the animation and game experience exhibition，the aesthetic art exhibition，the BRI exchange exhibition, the city demonstration exhibition of the Sichuan-Chongqing region, the industrial Innovation exhibition, the art and culture exhibition, the performance culture exhibition and so forth.
The digital publication integration exhibition mainly displays new products, technologies, industry, media, ideas, and creativity of special culture and tourism industry, the red culture, the village culture, the integration development of digital publication, and media convergence. At the Chongqing Daily pavilion, it does not exhibit its fruitful reports but also exhibits a new game—” The Memory of Hometown.” With Chongqing as its background, players explore Chongqing based on the game’s leads and start a food adventurous journey. The pavilion attracts lots of visitors to join in the interactive game.
At the “Chongqing Showcase” exhibition, the achievements of the large-scale culture and tourism promotion activity “2020 Chongqing Showcase” are displayed. For example, Fengjie sets up four-section like special culture and tourism, creative cultural products, tourism sales, and Kuizhou delicacy. Meanwhile, performances like bamboo dance and acrobatics are shown to visitors.
Cultural tourism interactive exhibition focuses on relaxation, tourism, and immersive experience. It integrates tourism, outdoor products, smart digital cultural tourism equipment, healthy holiday trips, small towns for relaxation, and tourism real estate into creative shows and live-action performances. It brings visitors to experience smart tourism by adding high-tech elements to the city’s cultural experience.
The animation and game experience exhibition includes popular game competition, co-play, and a Han-culture setting to attract fans for cartoons and games to participate.
At the BRI exchange exhibition is set up at the offline Expo, participant countries and organizations include Japan, Australia, Hungary, the Republic of Lithuania, Pakistan, Uruguay, Israel, the Czech Republic, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization bring traditional handicrafts, creative designs, intangible cultural heritage, culture and tourism, culture and education, films and performances to the expo. Their participation will add more international elements to the expo and help us make more friends and improve our city’s international influence.
Apart from exhibitions, the Cultural Tourism Summit forum of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle and the 3rd T12 West China Development Summit of Culture and Tourism, a series of summits about the development of culture and tourism, and promotion activities will be held.
There are three highlights at this expo. Firstly, it sets up the city demonstration pavilion of the Sichuan-Chongqing region to strengthen the exchange and cooperation of Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle in culture and tourism; secondly, the Expo displays a series of fruitful results of “The 2020 Chongqing Showcase”. The select products from all districts and counties will be on exhibition and for sale. Thirdly, it’s the first time to host the Culture & Tourism Industry Expo Online and offline.
The Expo is guided by the Publicity Department of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, and sponsored by Chongqing Daily Newspaper Group, and Chongqing Yuelai Investment Group. The offline expo will last until Oct 18, and the online one will last to Oct 31st.
