For Chongqing Talents: Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project Kicked Off

Chongqing- On October 15, the first roadshow under Autumn Roadshow Month Campaign of 2020 “Bright Chongqing Talent, Creates a Brighter Future” Themed Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project kicked off.

In the following month, the campaign will be held to attract resources and develop platforms to implement quality projects for young talent, including candidates of Chongqing Professional Talents Plan, doctors, post-doctors, and overseas returnees. 

On October 15, the first roadshow under Autumn Roadshow Month Campaign of 2020 “Bright Chongqing Talent, Creates a Brighter Future” Themed Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project kicked off.

This campaign is guided by the Leading Group for Talent Affairs of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, hosted by Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and organized by Chongqing Expert Service Center and China Three Gorges Museum of Chongqing.

Representatives from the city’s 15 major investment and financing institutions, seven key innovation and entrepreneurship parks and 17 district- and county-level investment promotion departments, as well as 53 outstanding innovation and entrepreneurship project leaders and team members, totaling more than 230, attended the campaign. More than four million viewers watched the live stream.

According to a leader from Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Project is an innovation and entrepreneurship brand designed for young talent. With government, talent, and market playing their respective due role, leaders of these quality projects will demonstrate the business model, implementation plan, team composition, market analysis, commercialization, and implementation needs (financing, legal, finance, and tax) and other factors of their products and technologies.

Furthermore, professional investors will discover and measure those innovation and entrepreneurship achievements and projects through their application prospect and market value standards. By doing so, the campaign aims to attract outstanding talent to the city at a faster pace.

Since the launch of the campaign, the organizing committee has received the sign-up of 798 projects, of which 535 are about innovation, and 264 are about entrepreneurship.

After selecting experts and investment and financing institutions, a total of 13 outstanding projects will be able to participate in the first roadshow.

The following month, another 40 qualified projects will be classified and phased for special roadshows, providing all shortlisted projects with a roadshow opportunity and a stage to realize full publicity and display their value. This will attract more talent for Chongqing’s high-quality, innovation-driven development.
