"Italian Pasta and Spices" Masterclass in Chongqing

Chongqing - “Italian Pasta and Spices” Masterclass was successfully held in Chongqing on Sept. 29. It invited guests and experts in food industry for a roundtable discussion on Mediterranean diet, three guests introduced how Italian cuisine could be applied in Chinese food culture. After the roundtable, there were master's cooking class by Italian chef Nicola and Manuel Toma for 3 classic Italian pasta.

Guido Bilancini, Consul General of Italy in Chongqing and Paulo Bazzoni, president of CICC, delivered welcome remarks in the event. They claimed the importance of authentic Italian food and how to trade the Italian food in Chinese market.

The event’s purpose is to promote authentic Italian cuisine and Italian agricultural products in China. The event is carried out by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Federation of Italian Overseas Chambers of Commerce, in order to strengthen and protect authentic Italian agricultural products. It is open to experts in the catering industry, as well as media, Internet celebrities, journalists, KOLs, bloggers, nutritionists and trading companies. The "Authentic Italian Food" project is part of the "Extraordinary Italian Flavor" plan. The quality of authentic Italian food has been evaluated for its value, which has further strengthened Chinese consumers’ awareness of authentic Italian products and enhanced the visibility of Italian companies in the Chinese catering industry.
