At the 3rd China (Chongqing) Yangtze River Upstream City Flower Art Expo, different colors of lotus flowers are displayed, including the blue lotus, just like the namesake song -- Lan Lian Hua, written by Wei Xu.
Featured by a Zenist design style, Dazu Exhibition Area has attracted many citizens taking photos. In this Zenist Garden themed Buddhism and lotus, a gallery of diverse images and postures inspired by Dazu Rock Carvings takes pride of place. When walking past, you would see stone walls and Buddha carvings, making you feel as if you were seeing Baodingshan Rock Carvings.
When it comes to plants, the Zenist Garden employs a mix of hairy fruit musella (Musella lasiocarpa), water lily, Hedychium chrysoleucum, and Crinum asiaticum var. sinnicum from the Five Buddhist Trees and Six Buddhist Flowers, and Victoria, Datura, Cyathea spinulosa, orchid and dendrobium often seen in the Zen culture. Besides that, rare flower species are also planted, and most are white, red, and yellow. Inside the garden, you can see a pond of blooming lotus flowers in a riot of colors, creating a real sight to behold.
According to Chunmei Hu, the design and construction team leader of Zenist Garden, the team has also developed a "green sponge" system for the garden. Moreover, advanced smart technologies are also applied, such as automatic spray device, QR code guide, and audio guide.
