The CIIE Introduced a Number of Projects to Flourish in Chongqing

As the 3rd China International Import Expo opened on November 4th, 32 trade missions of the Chongqing delegation have arrived in Shanghai.

In the last two year’s CIIE, the Chongqing delegation has got fruitful results. A large number of foreign trade purchase orders were completed through the CIIE, and a large number of imported goods came to us and changed our lives. A large number of investment projects have also landed in Chongqing through the CIIE and have flourished.

In the last two editions of the China International Import Expo, the Chongqing delegation has got fruitful results.

At the first CIIE in 2018, the German Bosch Group signed a cooperation agreement with the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, Xiyong Free Trade Zone, and Houho Technology Co., Ltd. to build the Bosch Industry 4.0 Innovation Technology Center jointly.

The center opened during the second Smart China Expo in August 2019. Since it was put into operation, it has provided consulting services to more than 100 companies in Chongqing and provided smart manufacturing training to more than 1,000 government departments, scientific research institutes, and manufacturing employees. The center provided 40 manufacturing companies with integrated solutions for smart manufacturing and promoted more than 20 local companies in the smart manufacturing industry.

Bosch Group will continue to participate in the CIIE this year and be optimistic about the huge development potential brought by the CIIE.

In addition, Lawson, Starbucks, and other companies have also increased their investment in Chongqing through signing contracts with the CIIE.

As of September 2020, the number of Chongqing Lawson stores exceeded 300. Now, Chongqing Lawson has started to expand in the secondary market. It has opened stores in Bishan, Jiangjin, Hechuan, Fuling, and other places in the past two years.

According to data from Chongqing Lawson Company, Chongqing Lawson plans to double the number of stores in three years, reaching 650 stores by the end of 2023, improving Chongqing’s regional strategic layout, and promoting consumption facilitation in public service places, and increase the number of stores in public service places such as large commercial streets, communities, universities, hospitals, industrial parks, and science and technology parks.

Next, Lawson will also increase community service functions such as express delivery, water, and electricity payment. And it will also cooperate with fruit stores and pharmacies to satisfy community residents’ life service and solve community residents' problems.

In July of this year, Starbucks' first Reserve Cafe And Bar Mixato in Central and Western China officially opened in Chongqing Raffles City, creating a new coffee and bar integration model for coffee lovers in Chongqing. In the fusion of high-quality coffee and wine culture, people will unlock new experiences of Starbucks.

The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce introduced that Chongqing will give full play to the comprehensive benefits of the CIIE platform. By strengthening investment promotion and introducing several key projects that promote Chongqing's high-quality development, it will effectively promote Chongqing's economic and social development.
