Shenzhen- With more than 3,300 exhibitors from home and abroad participating online or offline, the 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair showcased 10,000 mind-boggling technology products.

The 22nd China Hi-Tech Fair opened at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on November 11.

During the Fair, new technologies and equipment represented by artificial intelligence, 5G, and big data have become the “superstars” at the China Hi-Tech Fair. The high-tech products with smart and innovative elements have drawn visitors' attention, which also implies that the future of human life can be more creative and beautiful.

Being able to move left and right, roll over, jump, crawl forward... Unitree's latest industrial functional quadruped robot AlienGo and the educational quadruped robot A1 caught many people’s eyes at the Fair.

According to Chang Ruichun, the Regional Sales Director of Unitree, A1 robot is usually used for scientific research and laboratory construction from different colleges and universities with an engineering focus, especially for the construction of robotics or artificial intelligence (AI) related courses.

A1 and AlienGo robots are called "Puppy" and "Big Dog," respectively. The total weight of the "Puppy" is only 12kg, and the maximum walking speed is 3.3 meters per second.

"Puppy" is equipped with a smart camera and functions like following a person and human body detection, whereas "Big Dog" is often applied in various industry scenarios. "Big Dog" has been officially launched with a production capacity, serving as the quadruped robot with the world's largest size and weight, which can achieve a backflip at the same time.

Meanwhile, robots with other purposes and functions, including disinfection, monitoring temperature, and catering services, have also appeared at the Fair. From welcoming guests and patrolling areas to cooking and delivering food, as well as selling lottery tickets and providing assistance, the use of robots in different scenarios is becoming increasingly widespread.

Specifically, Robots are used for ultraviolet disinfection as well as delivery of food and medicine. This was widely used during the pandemic to help reducing human contact to a minimum.

The Shenzhen Hospital of Southern Medical University presented the robot that can replace medical staff to conduct nucleic acid testing. The device is designed to complete the process of patient identification, collection of sampling tools, self-service sampling, and storage of samples without human intervention.

Furthermore, Qianxi Robotics Group has reached its peak of popularity at this year's Fair due to its demonstration of various smart catering robots. The Robotics Burger Station, a machine developed by Qianxi Robotics Group, has attracted large crowds of visitors and foodies to watch and experience at Hall No.1.

Qianxi Robotics Group has reached its peak of popularity at this year's Fair due to its demonstration of various smart catering robots.

Within only 20 seconds, a ready-made hamburger comes out of the machine, which is unmanned and allows 24/7 operation. A burger made by the machine costs 8.99 yuan (US$1.35).

According to Wang Shaohua, head of the Chinese food equipment department of Qianxi Robotics Group, the machine independently developed the machine. It can achieve automatic hamburger production and contactless serving.

Wang said the company has already opened a store featuring burger-making machines in Foshan City, Guangdong Province, which has been receiving positive responses from consumers.

The company plans to open more stores in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and across the country, and Shenzhen will have one very soon.

“This is our first time participating in the high-tech fair, which is a national exhibition of scientific and technological achievements. I also went to visit other booths, and I’ve learned a lot. The fair is a very good platform for learning and exchanges,” said Wang.
