The Joint Office to Promote Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle held the sixth director scheduling meeting in Chengdu recently.

According to the meeting, the feasibility report of the Chengdu-Dazhou-Wanzhou High-speed Railway has been approved by the National Development and Reform Commission. The preliminary construction on the mid-line of Chengdu-Chongqing High-Speed Railway has been accelerated. Eight of nine functional platforms for Sichuan-Chongqing adjacent areas are under planning. 22 of 31 major cooperation projects have started construction, with a total investment of 28.5 billion yuan.

Since the fifth director scheduling meeting of the Joint Office, Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and Chongqing Development and Reform Commission have conducted close cooperation. Departments at all levels of the two places have become increasingly connected. This delivers positive results in promoting the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle.

It was proposed that at the meeting, efforts should be made to prepare for the second session of the Party-administration joint meeting and detail the meeting’s programs and documents. The review of all tasks’ highlights and effects this year has to be made to get ready for significant projects, events, and reform measures of both sides next year.

At the meeting, matters related to the joint investment of both sides were also discussed. Therefore, requirements were proposed to strengthen the investment connection for both sides’ special projects, improve the working mechanism, detail tasks, and expand the cooperation scenarios, to accelerate creating an integrated investment environment.
