Niccolo Chongqing to Bring Local Italy’s Delicacies during the Week of Italian Cuisine

Chongqing- On November 23, the Week of Italian Cuisine's opening ceremony was officially launched in Niccolo Chongqing. It is an international event organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation since 2016. Meanwhile, during the Fifth Week of Italian Cuisine this year, Niccolo Chongqing also launches a series of classic and innovative features, integrating with Italy’s delicacies and fantastic wines and bringing Chongqing a real Italian taste.

This year, Niccolo Chongqing specially invites Emiliano Bernasconi, the executive chef of Niccolo Suzhou, which will open in the second quarter of 2021, to Chongqing, to promote local Italian food. As a native Italian, Emiliano has been dedicated to the hotel and culinary field for 27 years and has worked in many Michelin restaurants and luxury hotels.

Caviale E Patate (scallops, caviar, and potatoes)

2020 marks the bicentennial of the birth of Pellegrino Artusi (1820 – 1911), the father of Italian cuisine. Additionally, combined with traditional Artusi recipes, Emiliano will present unique insights and an innovative spirit of Italian cuisine for the first time, bringing many delicacies to Italian taste lovers. Many dishes, such as burrata cheese plate, caviar with potatoes, Italian crab dumplings, Italian tuna veal, grilled Cod with sweet peas, will be available for a limited time on the 62nd floor from November 23 to 29.
