During Nov. 23 - 27, the Public Art School of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute (SFAI) featured with Chongqing International Media Center (iChongqing) for the Achievements Exhibition of Discipline and Specialty Integration Construction Week at SFAI’s Huangjueping campus. There were professors, experts, scholars to present academic forums every day during the week, and this exhibition is free and open to the public.

At the opening ceremony, Pang Maokun, president of SFAI, stated in his speech that the Public Art School, as an important teaching unit of the institute, focuses on urban renewal and cultural revival in the process of urbanization, and bears the dual responsibility of inheritance and innovation. He hoped that through the school as a demonstration to promote discipline construction.

"Art, Space, City" academic week used public art and urban design as the context to rethink the issues of urban vision, urban functions, and urban culture in the urban process, in the form of forums, salons, theme exhibitions, and essays, to discuss the direction of the new field of the art design and the development opportunities of interdisciplinary, and demonstrate the feasibility of the construction of the new field direction of SFAI’s Design.
