From November 28, a large-scale immersive experience stage play Shibati Longmenzhen (chat or stories) launched by Liangjiang Movie City will be staged at 19:00 every day (excluding Mondays) to enrich the night activity of visitors.

Shibati Longmenzhen comprises a series of different plays in a bid to make visitors' nighttime immersive experience richer and more three-dimensional. The first play, entitled "Xin Ya Café," is familiar to the locals in Chongqing. It tells a well-known story of the second daughter of the Kong family, who slapped a police chief across the face at Xin Xin Café. Besides, more new stories will be released in succession!

The performance

Shibati Longmenzhen is a nighttime experience project created by Liangjiang Movie City. The creative team, led by the famous local comedian Huang Jiaoya, has rearranged and created a series of coherent and storytelling performances that combine the neighborhoods' architectural features and historical stories, presenting well-known and complete folk tales of Chongqing in the form of live theaters for visitors.

The team has also incorporated songs, dances, acrobatics, and pingshu (traditional Han Chinese performing art of storytelling with no musical accompaniment) into the performances and cleverly integrates interactive links into the plots. This allows visitors to participate and show the civil culture that is very characteristic of the old Chongqing. The scenic area has invested heavily in stage design and lighting in a bid to make the on-spot performances more vivid and three-dimensional to showcase the authentic night culture of the old Chongqing to the maximum extent.

Besides live theaters, there will be many classic interactive performances and projects in the area around Shibati Old Street of Liangjiang Movie City. Visitors could watch the performances on the spot and experience the most distinctive costume changes in the film city to get involved in the storylines and the bygone ages' features.

Singing

In addition to the upcoming Shibati Longmenzhen series of performances, the nightlife-related activities at Liangjiang Movie City are also rich in content. Visitors can enjoy the special nighttime shows of the Dafeiji (Giant Plane) band at Liangjiang Movie City, as well as the most distinctive performances with the style of the early 20th century, Sichuan opera, pingshu, and other contents. Moreover, singing competitions and other activities will also be held from time to time. To this end, the scenic area has also opened night stalls, offered roast whole lambs, and provided other special catering facilities in the plaza and the snack street.
