Chongqing Rural Beauty Show, a variety show designed to promote the beautiful countryside, welcomed its third station in Banan at 21:20, December 5, on Chongqing Satellite Television (Chongqing TV).
Banan District, formerly known as Baxian County, has a history of more than 3,000 years. As time flies, the ancient district has ushered in the rural revitalization program, and the ancient villages that were once known only to Chongqing people have come into the public view. The land still retains the Bayu charm, so it is self-evident how deep its cultural heritage is! It is the persistence of the Banan people that keeps the 3,000-year-old folk songs alive today!
This time, a native of Chongqing Huang Jiadi, a guest star Liu Liyang, and an experiencer James visited this ancient district. They looked for a spokesperson for Banan in the new era. They also invited the spokesperson candidates who have different personalities but share the same accent and feelings for their hometown to unveil this district's mysteries.
The ancient Baxian County boasts the most authentic flavor of Chongqing! Where are the original features of this place? The team of the three explored the Fengsheng Ancient Town. Unique intangible cultural heritage (ICH) techniques and a wide variety of traditional goods can all be found in the town.
The team visited Liu Hanwen first, who gave up his comfortable job in the main urban area and returned to the town to inherit his family's craft, passed down for six generations. The Sihe lima bean, undergone a seven-step process, attracts numerous tourists from all over the world. As an inheritor of the new era, with the modern brand awareness and the perseverance spirit for tradition, Liu succeeded in making the craft the ICH. Therefore, his store, which was on the verge of closure, has become a business card of the ancient town.
Later, the team came to Dingxin tea garden on the mist-shrouded Baixiang Mountain, which is over 1,000 meters above sea level. They then met Zhang Lu, an innovative dreamer dedicated to promoting tea culture, who took them to experience a popular tea making technique—Dian Cha and tasted the most creative tea and pastries. They could also smell the fragrance of the native Banan Silver Needle Tea.
In Yunlin Tianxiang, they met Yang Lan, an excellent online anchor for marketing, very popular among villagers. With optimism and love, Yang helps villagers sell their products, which helps their hometown's specialties enter the urban area, bringing happiness and handsome incomes to every farming family.
With different life experiences, the three young people share a common philosophy of passing on the most authentic and traditional "flavor of the hometown" to more people. Are you curious as to which one of them will become the spokesperson of Banan? You are invited to watch Chongqing Rural Beauty Show at 21:20, December 5, on Chongqing Satellite Television. Let's experience the most primitive and purest flavor of ancient Banan!
