Chongqing - As a heavy-weight event of the ongoing 11th China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival, the Concert of World Great Rivers 2020 was successfully held in northeast Chongqing's Wanzhou District on the evening of Dec. 10, gathering domestic and international artists to give a splendid feast for the eyes and ears.

Kickstarting the lovely night was a modern group dance performance titled "Homeland" by Chongqing Liangjiang Art Troupe and Chongqing Sanxia Song and Dance Troupe, which lit up the audience's enthusiasm like dry wood near a fierce fire.
Following the highly motivating dance show was China Oriental Song and Dance Troupe's exotic dance performance titled "Dress of the Silk Road" and Chongqing Liangjiang Art Troupe's Korean song performance titled "Silver Bell of the Four Seasons."
Next on the performance list is a sequence of "Southeast Asian Allure" songs including a Malaysian song duet "Rasa Sayang," a Vietnamese song solo"Blue Bamboo," a Philippine song solo "Philippine Girl," a Myanmar song solo "Sea Gull," an Indonesian song solo "Aiyo Mama."
And the Chapter One of "Be Water: Universal Fraternity" concluded with an African-style dance performance titled "PATAPATA" by China Oriental Song and Dance Troupe.
Moving onto Chapter Two, "Converging Rivers: Great Struggle," Chongqing Liangjiang Art Troupe and Chongqing Sanxia Song and Dance Troupe presented the audience with one another great shows that captivated the attention of all living things.
First onstage was a situation dance drama titled "Chuanjiang Work Song," which took on the hard-working spirit of barge haulers and Chongqing locals. Then, renowned tenor Wang Xiangrong sang the two popular folk songs of "Red and Gorgeous Flowers Blooming on the Mountain" and "Ninety-Nine Bends of Yellow River."
The second part wrapped up with a song and dance duet "Singing Folk Songs" by Chongqing Ethnic Song and Dance Troupe and a song and dance solo "I Met You in the Three Gorges" by Chongqing Sanxia Song and Dance Troupe.
The final chapter of "Forward Against the Tides: Sailing" started with a song solo "O Sole Mio" by Mo Hualun, climaxed with a song quartet "We Are the World" by Jin Shengquan, Annie Tang Bohu, Li Yushan, and Daniel.
The grand show eventually concluded with a song and dance performance titled "My Motherland," which encouraged many in the audience seats to sing along. And the appearance of 1,000 or so UAV drones above the performance stage and over the sky of Wanzhou's Nanbin Road also caught people by surprise.
The drones flew in various colors and formations, which resulted in the miraculous changes of patterns and messages in the night sky. "It's truly a breathtaking light show miracle in front of the naked eyes," remarked one audience after filming the drone swarm show with his cellphone.
