Chongqing - Our Film Studio was founded in Chongqing by the local director Chen Jiaxin in 2015. Mr. Chen spent five years establishing his own film brand. Now he makes commercials, animation, and documents with his team. Though Chongqing was not a city of entertainment before, in recent years, there are increasingly film and TV groups came to Chongqing and dug this city's charm and mysterious elements. In this episode, Mr. Chen shared his insights and stories about the Chongqing film industry and told us why he shifted from sales to a filmmaker. We also take a look at his works and explore his movie dream at Our Film Studio.
In 2017, Mr. Chen entered the University of Southern California Film School through director selection and became one of the 14 specially trained Chinese directors. In the same year, he founded the first original film culture space, "Set World" in Southwest China, integrating original film studios (OurFilm Studio), original film cafes (OurFilm studio world), offline fans community (OurFilm movie parlor), original Film Audio Radio (OurFilm Radio-Dragonfly FM), OurFilm Film Lab (Youth Film Education Course).
