In the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025), Liangjiang New Area aims to make solid new progress, based on its position as an inland portal for China's opening-up and a Smart City in Chongqing, as well as its goals about building itself into a leading area for high-quality development and a demonstration area for a high-quality life.

The 2020 Smart China Expo Online was held at the Lijia Intelligent Park, which becomes another name card of Chongqing’s urban functions.

Duan Chenggang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, Secretary of the Chongqing Liangjiang New Area Party Work Committee, and the Liangjiang New Director Area Administrative Committee, visited the construction site of Lijia Smart Hall on January 1, 2021. He said Lijia Intelligent Park was a critical sci-tech innovation platform of Liangjiang New Area. The design and the construction must strictly follow high standards to make it an excellent demonstration park with global wisdom.

Since the inauguration of Lijia Intelligent Park Phase-I in 2019, it has attracted many domestic and foreign tourists. It has become a fascinating calling card for the development of big data and smart technology in Chongqing.

“Lijia Smart Hall, although not large, is a core building of Lijia Intelligent Park. We regard it as a vital project that can fuel the construction of Chongqing into a famous smart city and Liangjiang New Area into a smart city of Chongqing,” said Li Yi, President of Liangjiang New Area Industrial Development Group. He considered that Lijia Smart Hall would play an essential role in international communication and holding of international exhibitions, conferences, and forums at Lijia Intelligent Park.

Lijia Intelligent Park sits in the Lakeside Smart Center and comprises multifunctional halls, VIP conference halls, signing halls, temporary exhibition halls, and supporting spaces for business and service. The project enjoys a total investment of 280 million yuan (about 42.9 million U.S. dollars), covers a land of 24,200 square meters, features a total building area of 27,000 square meters, of which the main venue accounts for 3,500 square meters; boasts spaces for small meetings, catering, and reception.

Lijia Intelligent Park, once completed, can accommodate about 3,000 people and become a venue for state-level forums and summits. Together with Phase-I and Phase-II of the Lijia Intelligent Park, it enriches application and experience scenarios of the Lijia region and injects a strong impetus to Liangjiang New Area so as to develop more industries, business types, and models.
