Chongqing- Chongqing's Fengdu Nantian Lake National Tourism Resort has been included in the new batch of 15 national tourism resorts announced by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2020, said Xiang Wenming, member of the Standing Committee of the Fengdu County Party Committee and Executive Deputy County Mayor of the Fengdu County People’s Government. 

Fengdu County held a press conference at the Information Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government on December 31, 2020.

This further indicates that Fengdu County's tourism and holiday products and supporting services have entered the country's highest level.

The successful establishment of the Nantian Lake National Tourism Resort is of great significance to Fengdu's rich development of characteristic leisure and holiday products, optimization of tourism product structure, innovation of tourism product system, promotion of consumption upgrading, cultivation of world-class tourism resource brands, and acceleration of building up a high-quality world-famous tourist place.

Nantian Lake Tourist Resort is located in the southeast of Fengdu County, 160 kilometers away from Chongqing's downtown and 45 kilometers away from Fengdu County, with an altitude of 1400-2000 meters and an average summer temperature of 20℃.

With abundant tourism resources, the resort is full of mountains and lakes 1750 meters above sea level, natural grasslands, and hundreds of thousands of acres of old-growth forests, etc. It is an ecological sightseeing and leisure resort for forest sightseeing, mountain and lake viewing, mountain sports playing, and snow sightseeing.

Relying on forest and lake resources, the resort provides activities, including viewing flowers in spring, avoiding the heat in summer, viewing leaves in autumn, and skiing in winter.

Constantly enriching holiday products, the Resort has established and introduced core attractions such as Lakeside Park, Paradise Valley Forest Park, Stone Town, etc., and developed a series of night tour products, involving starry sky camping, musical fountains, and water curtain movies.

To ensure a more convenient and effective transportation network to serve tourists' needs, the Resort has perfected its supporting services and built high-quality resort hotels, involving Nantian Lake International Hotel, Davos Resort Hotel, Lakeside Resort Hotel, as well as a 30-kilometer secondary road from Fengdu County to the resort. 

Next, Fengdu County aims to transform the resort into a city-wide holiday and health care base, with a target of becoming a first-class domestic, internationally renowned, cultural and tourism integrated, and ecological leisure and holiday destination.
