Three China-Hungary Belt and Road Projects in Chongqing Listed for Priority Cooperation

Chongqing- The Chongqing Development and Reform Commission announced the selection of three projects in Chongqing among the list of priority cooperation projects for joint construction of the Belt and Road between China and Hungary on February 28th.

Ning Jizhe, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, and Máté Pesti, Hungarian Ambassador to China signed the agreement at the China-Central and Eastern European Countries Summit. The list covers 15 projects in the fields of infrastructure, energy, chemicals, innovation, agriculture, medicine, health, and cultural exchange.

Namely, the three projects selected in Chongqing are the China-Hungary research project into biochemical factors and molecular biological systems based on the safety of consuming insects, the research project into quality deterioration mechanisms of red chilies in the process of harvesting, processing, storage, and transportation, as well as the China-Hungary technology transfer center (Chongqing) project.

Many citizens were attracted by the wines on show at the Hungarian Section of the Belt and Road Exhibition.

A competent official of the Chongqing Development and Reform Commission explained that to promote the implementation of cooperative projects, they would work with the Chongqing Science and Technology Bureau and Southwest University based on the foundations of mainstay enterprise, market operations, commercial principles, and government leadership.

The projects will be coordinated to promote epidemic prevention and control, production infrastructure, the scientific resolution of various risks, and other efforts to produce visible results in the shortest possible timeframe, serving to deepen joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
