Chongqing- China's State Council convened a plenary meeting to discuss the draft 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) for National Economic and Social Development and Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035 in January. The two documents will be deliberated at the top legislature's annual session starting on March 5.
The year of 2021 marks the first year of China’s 14th Five-Year Plan period. The Plan, based on wide public solicitation, will clarify China’s development plans for the next five years, and outline the national strategies that will meet challenges faced in the domestic economy and international complications.
