According to Chongqing Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau on March 15, the Changjiahui Financial Center's construction, which stands on Nanbin Road, kicked off as a slew of key projects begins successively.

Changjiahui Financial Center is expected to become a new type of headquarters for financial institutions and a creative financial business format. This reflects that Chongqing is enhancing its weaknesses in technology finance, green finance, and other types of creative finance at a faster pace, allowing Chongqing to build an inland international financial center based in western China and facing ASEAN countries.

Following the Work Plan for Co-construction of Changjiahui Financial Center, the municipal and district governments will work together to build the Center, which comprises Changjiahui Core Zone and Guangyang Bay Green Finance Pilot Demonstration Zone that cover a total area of 16.2 square kilometers. Changjiahui Core Zone has six sectors, including Danzishi, Foreigner's Street, Longmenhao, and Tongyuan, which will pool institutions with new financial licenses, similar financial licenses, and legal entities like third-party payment companies.

Changjiahui Financial Center, together with Jiefangbei and Jiangbeizui, will become the three pillars of Chongqing's finance industry in the center of “Two Rivers and Four Riversides.” More importantly, the new-type financial institutions and new financial business format, developed by the former, will make up Chongqing's weakness in building an international financial center in inland China.

Chongqing Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau said that Changjiahui Financial Center is about to stimulate the concentrated development of new-type finance via new carriers and platforms. This helps improve the industrial ecosystem and overall efficiency, to grow industrial clusters and capabilities to serve creative enterprises.
