On March 19, a tripartite strategic cooperation agreement was signed by and among Chongqing Big Data Application and Development Administration, People's Government of Bishan District, and Dawning Information Industry Co., Ltd. (Sugon). The three parties have reached a consensus on the cooperation of the National Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center (Chongqing) and will jointly build high-performance big data service infrastructure in Bishan District.

As a major scientific and technological (S&T) infrastructure and a public service platform for S&T innovation for strategic emerging industries, advanced computing provides solid support and guarantees digital development. Advanced computing centers are expected to become a benchmark for the deep integration of China's information technology industry and modern service industry, providing new ideas and directions for local governments to realize S&T innovation and industrial upgrading.

Sugon and members of CAS Advanced Computing Technology Innovation and Industrialization Alliance have conducted useful explorations in the bases of Chengdu, Zhengzhou, and Hefei of the National Advanced Computing Industry Innovation Center, accumulating rich experience.

The Center will enable advanced computing to serve fundamental science computing and emerging industry development in the city. It will also provide the impetus for the improvement on Chongqing’s computing capability, research on algorithms, data governance, and intensive and service-oriented innovation of applied resources, and deepen the collaboration between governments and enterprises among industries and regions, providing support for digital upgrading in all business sectors and digital transformation in all industries.
