Chongqing Delicacies: Street Food – Barbecue

Chongqing- Street barbecue is a feature of Chongqing’s nightlife. Every local in Chongqing has a map of barbecue stores; it may be located on a street corner. Barbecue is a good choice for late-night meals or snacks for most locals. In this episode of the Chongqing Delicacies animation series, we will bring you into the city jungle to taste a barbecue shop ran by a couple for decades.

Chongqing barbecue usually roasted all vegetables, meat, ribs on the sticks, then chopped up with chili pepper and spices in Chongqing style (usually spicy). In Chongqing and Sichuan, people love to have their barbecue chopped up for the food can be more flavored.

We also recommended the pork ribs, pig's brain (it only sounds awkward, tastes like tofu), and eggplant as Chongqing local barbecue's must-try dishes in the video. You can find a diversity of dishes to satisfied your taste buds.

If you are hungry at night, you can also order your barbecue via the delivery application on your phone to warm up your stomach with a bowl of street barbecue.
