Chongqing - People who have stayed in the busy and noisy city for a long time just want to slow down and enjoy life in the countryside, smelling fragrant flowers, viewing beautiful scenery, tasting delicious food, and picking fresh fruits and vegetables. At 8:00, April 20, two buses full of tourists departed from Chongqing's Nanping Town to its Dazu District, the hometown of rock carvings, for the wonderful "One-day Tour in Interesting Countryside with Abundant Resources."

According to the 14th Five-Year Plan, China needs to deepen the development of mass tourism and smart tourism, develop new product systems of rural tourism, research & study tourism and special tourism, and increase effective supply, high-quality supply, and flexible supply. As the first rural tourism route launched by Dazu, the "One-day Tour in Interesting Countryside with Abundant Resources" aims to offer tourists a better consumption experience featuring happy farming and a leisurely lifestyle in the countryside.

Designed by the Dazu District Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the route connects three major agricultural towns in the district, namely Gaosheng, Tieshan, and Sanqu. The three scenic spots focus on the experience of smelling fragrant flowers, tasting delicious food, and picking fresh fruits and vegetables. Visitors could view a sea of flowers at the Siji Fangxiang Industrial Park, a municipal major rural revitalization project covering an area of 400 hectares, and taste special delicacies like free-range chicken and black goat meat at a breeding base in Dazu, which owns national protected livestock and poultry genetic resources. In addition, tourists could pick fresh fruits and vegetables and participate in leisure, entertainment, parent-child interaction, and farming activities at Datang Fengyu Ecological Farmstead.

In recent years, Dazu has been committed to the integrated development of agriculture, culture, and tourism. The "One-day Tour in Interesting Countryside with Abundant Resources" helps publicize the tourism resources in Dazu and facilitate the supply-side structural reform in agriculture. It drives the sales of local preserved vegetables, black goats, seasonal fresh produce, and other special agricultural and sideline products, thus consolidating the results of poverty alleviation and advancing the development of rural revitalization. During the national Two Sessions this year, Yu Huiwen, Secretary of the CPC Dazu District Committee, said that the district will strive to be a demonstration area for the coordinated development of Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and a leader and promoter of Bashu Cultural Tourism Corridor. It will take "strengthening six characteristic brands and erecting six regional centers" as the development goal based on the development idea of "4433", namely "four-zone interconnected development, four-region coordinated development, three development fields, and three major visions".

After the May Day holiday, the number of tourists coming to Dazu for the "One-day Tour in Interesting Countryside with Abundant Resources" will continue growing, according to the relevant person in charge of Dazu District Commission of Culture and Tourism Development. Dazu planned that four trips will be made every day with 120 visits for this route and 50,000 visits will be paid in the form of tourist groups throughout the year. The visits of tourists are expected to increase by about 450,000 and the revenue of the single route is expected to reach 90 million yuan. Next, Dazu will provide more excellent routes for tourists from both Sichuan and Chongqing with a view to bringing fresher and more interesting rural immersive recreation experience.
