Fencing is one of the sports that young people are passionate about. The relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Sports Bureau introduced that the Youth Fencing Championships aims to improve the level of fencing in Chongqing and promote the healthy development of youth sports.
This competition has set up three sword types: men's and women's epee, foil, and saber, which are divided into the different born years. There were three individual competitions and team competitions for five age groups, and three competitions for men and women. By then, nearly 600 young players will compete in the stadium for two days.
In order to ensure the fairness and justice of the competition, international referees are invited to serve as the head of the referee team, and the referee team will be composed of about 40 national and first-level referees. It is worth mentioning that this competition has also been certified by the China Fencing Association B-level event. Participants need to register as a temporary individual member of the China Fencing Association to qualify for the competition. The results of this competition will be linked to the points system of the China Fencing Association, so that young fencing athletes in Chongqing have a platform to show themselves to the whole country.
