The Project will become an international comprehensive transport hub integrating logistics, trade, industries, and finance after its completion and building a pilot demonstration dry port project that can improve the connectivity of countries along the Belt and Road and ILSTC and serve Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle in the western region of China.

Furthermore, it aims to advance the high-quality construction of ILSTC and build a comprehensive operation platform for ILSTC with high standards.

Traditionally, dry ports refer to feeder ports of coastal ports in inland economic centers and operating platforms for modern logistics, providing fast and convenient international port services for the economic development of inland areas.

ILSTC connects mountains and seas and enables inland areas to take dry ports as carriers of the land transport system extending to the sea transport network. It effectively links land and sea transports in virtue of both hardware and software, thus forming smooth rail-sea multi-modal transport.

The Project owns five major functions, involving international container storage and transfer, import and export cold chain storage, processing, display and trading, bulk cargo collection and distribution, spot and futures delivery, supply chain services, and financial services. It mainly comprises international warehouses, international container transit centers, cold chains, and office facilities.
