Chongqing-On the afternoon 24^th ，2021, “The Golden Tourism Circle of Two Banks of Huangpu River” culture and tourism promotion conference took place on the Jinbi Queen Tourist Boat at the iconic landmark of Chongqing, Chaotianmen. Delegators from the Pudong New Area tourism industry and Huangpu District of Shanghai promoted local modern and classic tourist attractions to Chongqing citizens and tourists worldwide.

A representative from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism gave an opening speech.

According to the introduction, the newly-built urban tourism brand, “The Golden Tourism Circle of Two Banks of Huangpu River,” includes the golden areas on each bank of Huangpu River with the Bund and Lujiazui as its starting points.

Like “Two-River Touring” in Chongqing, “Pujiang Touring” is also a unique name card of Shanghai. Incorporating the ongoing China Flower Expo, “Pujiang Touring” has launched a new touring route recently. By choosing the new route, tourists can not only enjoy the amazing night view of Huangpu River but visit the spectacular flower expo as well. Starting from June, Pujiang Touring will adopt the mode with multiple anchoring wharves that connects the Huangpu River with tourism resources on the land. With the Jinling Eastern Road Wharf as its home wharf, tourist boats will anchor at Bailianjing Wharf, Dongchang Road Wharf, and International Fashion Center Wharf. In the future, there will be more anchoring wharves that link with the culture and tourism resources of the two banks. Besides releasing new routes of “Pujiang Touring,” there will be diverse new tourism products.

Apart from“Pujiang Touring,” the conference also promoted 24-hour touring routes of “Shanghai·the World Living Room ” which included the Mini Lujiazui Tourist Attraction to see the appealing skyline, the Oriental Pearl Tower, Jinmao Tower, World Financial Center, and Shanghai Center to catch the bird views of the city, No 1. Pujiang Tourist Boat enjoys breathtaking views of river banks, the touring tunnel of the Bund to experience the magic feeling created by the sound, light, electricity, and other scenic spots like the Show Life, Park Hotel, etc. If visitors want to see the city closely without consuming too much energy, they can also choose the double-decker buses for touring.

Both Shanghai and Chongqing are two key cities along the Yangtze River Economic Zone. Pudong New Area symbolizes China’s reform and opening-up, and the epitome of Shanghai’s modernization, while Huangpu District is a place that carries forward the red culture and the cradle of Haipai culture. Chongqing is the place conceiving the red gene and a repository that stores the gene, and the city is also a bright pearl of the Yangtze River Economic Zone. Chongqing and Shanghai jointly promoting tourism will improve the quality development of tourism and form a tourism industry chain that connects all areas along the Yangtze River Economic Zone.

At the promotion, Shanghai also brought lots of preferential policies to Chongqing travel agencies, which would benefit tourists finally. One representative from one travel agency in Chongqing said they would design different tour packages based on this promotion and launch them before the summer holiday.
