Based on the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade (WCIFIT), Yubei District has been attracting investment to develop the five industrial clusters on a scale hitting 100 billion yuan, i.e., smart terminals, modern consumption corridor, Liangjiang International Business Center, aviation logistics parks, and software and information services, while consolidating and improving its incumbent pillar industries, such as the automobile and motorcycle industry.

The five newly-cultivated industries are becoming the new engines for the economic growth of the Yubei District.

From "Made-in-Yubei" to "Smart Manufacturing by Yubei"

In recent years, Yubei District has been equally prioritizing the upgrading of traditional industries and the cultivation of emerging ones to create an industrial development pattern with several pillars. First, it takes Frontier Science and Technology City and Airport Industrial Park as the major carriers. Second, it introduces leading companies and key parts manufacturers via WCIFIT, striving to build the smart terminals industrial cluster valued at 100 billion yuan by 2025.

The district constructs an industrial layout at Yubei Innovative Economic Corridor, with OPPO, Transsion, other mobile brands as the center, Chitwing, Chongqing TS-Precision Technology, and other companies engaging in smart terminal parts working together. Furthermore, in Chongqing Xiantao International Big Data Valley, Yubei District has basically built an industrial ecosystem, incorporating the software public platform, contract awarding platform, industrial application, and talent training.

100bn yuan-level aviation logistics parks get ready

In 2019, a municipal key logistics and warehousing project of Yubei District, Chongqing Headquarters of YTO Express, began trial operation. It can deal with about 1.6 million pieces of goods daily on average. YTO Express is the epitome of the district's construction of the hundred billion yuan-level aviation logistics parks. Relying on Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport, Yubei District creates a 100 billion yuan worth of aviation logistics industrial cluster to grow the high-level logistics industry.

Cooperating with Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Chongqing Bonded Port Area (CBPA), Yubei District steps up efforts to develop Agaric Aviation Logistics Park, Chongqing Jiangbei Airport Aviation Logistics Park, and the CBPA Airport Function Area, with several types of business, including warehousing logistics, air freight, express distribution, smart delivery, supply chain management, international trade, and cross-border e-commerce. Agaric Aviation Logistics Park has introduced ten key projects from ZTO Express and other companies.

To make plans according to flux economy development trends

Responding to the development of the flux economy, Yubei District has planned to create a hundred billion yuan-level consumption corridor on the Airport Road to build a professional production service sector.

It released policies to support investment attraction and upgrading of Sanya Bay Aquatic Products Market; established an urban supply chain-based exhibition, delivery, and distribution center at Hailing (Airport) International Agricultural Products Trade Center while maintaining coordinated development with Shuangfu Agricultural Trade Town; actively supports the growth of Shengming Trade Center, investment attraction of Southwest China International Automotive Trade Center, and introduction of duty-free shops and tax refund stores.

Yubei District also plans to build the 100 billion yuan-level Liangjiang International Business Center at Chongqing Central Park to satisfy people's need for leisure and shopping. About 150 brands have signed contracts to settle here, covering an area of 94,800 m².
