With the theme of "creative cultural design for a better life," the expo launched the cultural and creative products design contest and solicited creative cultural products from all over the country.
The content of the contest covers two categories, namely creative handicrafts and cultural tourism products. Therefore, it is required to start with the design details, deeply explore the cultural connotation, reflect the cultural elements and the stories behind, and show the traditional culture with innovation, practicability, marketability, aesthetic beauty, and science and technology.
"Since the launch of the contest, wonderful ideas have been gathering and growing here with active responses from cultural and creative organizations, enterprises, and individuals throughout the country, such as Tibet, Xinjiang, Beijing, Chengdu, and Chongqing." As a result, a total of 278 excellent works were longlisted, according to the relevant person in charge.
Among them, many are amazing innovative products, such as handmade flower syrup, transparent bookmarks, and hand-painted postcards.
The expert reviewers include Yu Qiang, professor in design art at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, Cai Zerong, Chinese arts and crafts master, Chen Liannian, professor in arts and crafts at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, and Wu Demin, collector and master judge of Chinese arts and crafts. They will comprehensively score the works from the dimensions of fashion, innovative design, cultural inheritance, and environmental protection techniques.
The expo will hold a conference to announce the start of the final and announce the 10 shortlisted works, which will be exhibited to the audience, according to the session on June 1. At the finale, the audience will vote for the best popularity award, while the expert group will select the winners of the four major awards, namely the best creativity, cultural inheritance, fashion innovation, and environmental protection technique. In addition to the honors, the award-winning works can also be displayed and promoted on the official platform of the contest in the form of graphics and texts and further reported and promoted on famous media or platforms nationwide for more honors and business opportunities.
