Chongqing - In order to celebrate this year's "Cultural and Natural Heritage Day," which falls on June 12, the main events of the 6th Chongqing Intangible Cultural Heritage & Time-Honored Brand Exhibition will be held in Qianjiang District from June 4 to 6. According to a press conference of the Municipal Culture and Tourism Development Commission on Tuesday, over 167 intangible cultural heritage (ICH) workshops and companies bring more than 2,000  ICH items for exhibition.

This year's intangible cultural heritage expo also features an intangible cultural heritage shopping festival opening ceremony in both online and offline means. Themed "People's Intangible Cultural Heritage to Share with the People," the shopping festival will organize 165 intangible cultural heritage workshops and enterprises to do online exhibitions and more than 200 intangible cultural heritage and time-honored brand offline exhibitions.

People can enjoy over 2,000 types of intangible cultural heritage products such as traditional techniques and traditional art with Chongqing characteristics at the exhibition.

The opening ceremony will also see a plague-conferring ceremony for some local folk art troupes and the launching of 10 Chongqing intangible cultural heritage-themed tourist routes.

At the same time, the intangible cultural heritage and time-honored brand expositions will be held to display the products of intangible cultural heritage and time-honored trade fairs and adopt static display and on-site production by inheritors to show the results of intangible cultural heritage production protection.

What's more, there will also be a Chongqing Intangible Heritage Protection and Inheritance Achievement Exhibition to mark the 10th anniversary of the promulgation and implementation of the "Intangible Heritage Law."

And it is reported that Chongqing currently has 44 national-level intangible cultural heritage projects, 707 municipal-level intangible cultural heritage projects, and 3428 district and county-level intangible cultural heritage projects.
