The Guangyang Isle Smart Innovation Eco-city · Yangtze River Green Innovation Industrial Park, the main industrial carrier of the eco-city, was officially unveiled on June 5. Nan'an District and Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone also announced the Guangyang Isle Green Development Fund of 3 billion yuan (about 46.9 million U.S. dollars).

As the only industrial park focusing on green innovation in the city, the Yangtze River Green Innovation Industrial Park shoulders the major mission of the national green development demonstration base and the green development demonstration in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.

The industrial park will intensify efforts in pollution and carbon reduction to advance the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development and move faster to optimize the industrial, energy, transportation, and land use structure. At the same time, the industrial park will push forward with all-around green planning, investment, construction, and life in the whole process to seek a kind of modernization that promotes the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

It is expected that the park will initially aggregate green industries and basically complete the structural adjustment by 2022 and that the park will highly aggregate green industries, complete the structural adjustment, achieve economies of scale in the green industrial system, and basically create a development pattern led by green development by 2025.

On the same day, Guangyang Isle Industrial Development Co., Ltd. launched the Guangyang Isle Green Development Fund. It will carry out market-oriented operations under the guidance of the government and leverage the distinctive role of the Guangyang Isle Green Development Fund as a fund of funds in optimizing resource allocation in a bid to facilitate the gathering of talent, technologies, and projects in the eco-city, and empower the green innovation and development.

In addition, the company, together with relevant enterprises in Chengdu and Nan'an District, is initiating Chengdu-Chongqing Smart Innovation Fund and Nanshan Venture Capital Fund. Those funds with a combined amount of almost 10 billion yuan will provide strong support for the Yangtze River Green Innovation Industrial Park development.
