109 projects of 23 districts (counties), with a total investment of 124.6 billion yuan (about 19.5 billion U.S. dollars), officially launched during the Collective Commencement Ceremony of Chongqing "Yuyue-Laying a Solid Foundation" Investment Attraction Season on June 9.

Such projects mainly cover smart manufacturing, auto parts, aviation logistics, software and information technology services, and other fields.

For instance, the SF Express Southwest China Operation Headquarters project encompasses two sub-projects. One is the Chongqing Airport Smart Logistics Hub Industrial Park, with an investment totaling 2 billion yuan.

The project is committed to serving smart distribution centers, Internet + e-commerce, urban delivery, fresh food cold-chain transport, smart warehouse, and finance. The annual revenue of the sub-project, after the first phase reached the design capacity, is expected to be 2 billion yuan.

Another is the Logistics Science and Technology Incubation and Innovation Industrial Park, with an overall investment of one billion yuan.

In particular, it works for drones and automation, big data and relevant products, artificial intelligence and application, smart devices, smart hardware, and comprehensive logistics solutions. After reaching the design capacity, its annual revenue will attain 1 billion yuan.

"Yuyue-Laying a Solid Foundation" Investment Attraction Season is a critical initiative to put into action the guiding principles of the 2021 Chongqing Conference on Scientific and Technological Innovation, Big Data Development, and Investment Promotion.

As scheduled, the Season, lasting from March to May, aimed to celebrate the signing of contracts that can bring in 480 billion yuan worth of investment, receive 96 billion yuan worth of funds, and achieve 30% of the annual investment attraction target.

Chongqing witnessed the signing of contracts valued at 494.17 billion yuan and celebrated 309 newly-commenced projects with a total investment of 169.5 billion yuan, of which 101.98 billion yuan have been received.
